Dr. Lukáš Novotný obtained an engineering degree in Department of Production Machines and Equipment and subsequently obtained a doctorate in Design and Process Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), CTU in Prague. Since 2002 he has been working in the Research Center of Manufacturing Technology (RCMT), which is since 2012 an organizational part of the Department of Production Machines and Equipment, FME CTU in Prague. He worked in professional positions as an application engineer in the field of drives and control engineering and mechatronics, project manager and educator. Professionally, he always focused on the dynamic behavior of feed drives and vibrations, especially in connection with drives. Since 2012, he has been leading projects focusing on vibration suppression. He also cooperates with Czech machine tool manufacturers on these topics. Major non-professional interests include family, aquaristics, drawing and digital photography, smart buildings.
